Carter Mills
Programs Manager at Well Fed
Carter has a bachelors in social services and counseling. He's a people person and relishes building deep relationships with the managers and community members we work with. His previous work focused on supporting kids in low-income communities in Pulaski County. Carter loves strawberries and apples 🍎
Denise Dickinson
Well Fed Board Member
Denise has worked in public education for 17 years, seeing firsthand the results of poor nutrition availability. She loves encouraging others to make better choices with their health, working as a certified health coach in Family Nutrition Boot Camp with CHOICES in Atlanta. Her favorite apples are both Pink Lady and Arkansas Blacks. 🍎
Joshua Harris
Executive Director / Founder of Well Fed
Josh spent several years working with local organizations and agencies before launching Well Fed. Some years ago his health declined, and through the difficult experience, he learned the power of healthy food. Today, he gets excited about helping others eat and live healthily, especially if we can help address chronic health issues. His favorite fruit is strawberries 🍓
Dr. Lillian West
Well Fed Board Member
Dr. Lillian frequently encounters the intersection between food insecurity and chronic illness. Many of her patients struggle to access nutritious food, which only exacerbates their symptoms. Lillian firmly believes that food is medicine and wants to use her experience in healthcare to advocate for the health and well-being of all Arkansans. She loves a nutrient-rich meal with grilled salmon accompanied with roasted vegetables 🐟
Michael Crowe

Michael grew up in rural Arkansas and saw food insecurity firsthand, especially during summer months, in which insecurities are at their highest. He's a lawyer and loves to make a difference in the community with his skills. His favorite vegetable is okra, a Southern favorite 🫛
