We believe that the real solution to ending food insecurity must include education and empowerment. After years of working with pantries and food access programs we saw a gap in the system – a lack of education and understanding necessary to make food changes within communities. Purely providing free food to those who are hungry will not solve the inequities and challenges faced by many communities. That is why we strive to offer strategic elements alongside our food distributions to equip families forward in their diet and health needs.

“We have a lot of residents that do not have transportation. So having fresh vegetables and fruits brought here on site is much needed especially to our senior residents. Providing healthy foods for this community really makes a difference.”

“This is such a blessing! I recently had surgery on my hip and haven’t been able to get to the store. I didn’t know people did this. I wasn’t eating very healthy, but now I’m excited to eat all the wonderful food you provided. I feel so much better already!”

Well Fed could meet our needs. We wanted to give families fresh ingredients that they could cook in their home. Not only was Well Fed able to provide us with fresh produce, they were able to provide us with a large number of fresh produce boxes at multiple locations within a quick turnaround time.
